Well, it was too cold and rainy to paint today, and I am out of welding gas. I figured I may as well clean up and repaint my gas cap.

Back in the paint
Ashley and I finished stripping the quarter panel vents, hinges, quarter extensions and new doors today. I then managed to get a coat of epoxy primer on everything. It is raining now and 90 deg so it isn't very good weather for painting. Back to it maybe tomorrow with some color. Fingers crossed...

Welding again..
Willa gave me a hand painting the front brakes last night. I got them reassembled today. I was then able to get the rear seat belt upper mounts welded in and patched the rust in the driver's side lower cowl. Ashley in the mean time got the door hinges and quarter extensions sanded and ready for paint.

Do I smell gas?
Busy day today. Ashley gave me a hand running the fuel line and brake line to the back. We then got the line clips all screwed in and got the fuel tank installed.

Braking
We worked on the rear brakes today. After a whole lot of banging, I managed to get the passenger side axle out and the brakes fit on.

Down and Up
This afternoon we did a garage alignment on the front end and got it back on the ground. We then got the rear end up on ramps to get under and run the new brake and fuel lines.

Driver side door fitting
Ashley gave me a hand last night fitting up the driver side door. Again, the door looked great on this side as well. I also got the instrument cluster rebuilt and added a tach to it. I posted the video to YouTube. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Sweltering
We went from one of the coldest winters on record to back to back record hot days, so not much to report. I was able to get the header clearanced for the pitman arm. This morning I managed to get the passenger side door test fitted. I am so happy with the quality of the doors. They lined right up with almost perfect gaps. If the rest of the body panels I order look this good, I will be one happy customer.

Torqued
I put Ashley to work today with the torque wrench. We got the steering finish assembled and torqued. We were then able to reinstall the driver's side header and check for clearance. The pitman arm makes contact on the header, so we will have to remove the header and clearance it (beat a dent in it with a big hammer).
