Look at what I built...

This afternoon I finished building the strut rods. The how to video is in post production now, and should be posted by the end of the week.

Production

It has been a busy week. I have been working on my first how to video (diy adjustable strut rods). I will be posting it to YouTube hopefully by the end of the week. I also managed to get the steering linkage assembled and the door hinges rebuilt. Now I just need to wait for a few new parts before I can progress.

Mickey Mouse

My hands are on fire today. I feel like I have Mickey Mouse hands. Well, I got the master cylinder fitted in place and finally got the front brake hard lines installed. I just need to get some grommets on them where they pass through the skirts.

More brakes

My hands and shoulders are in a lot of pain today from working on the car for a week straight, so I wasn't able to do much this afternoon.  With Ashley's help, we were able to get the new brake pedal and bracket in (biggest pita on the car so far). We were then able to get the brake booster mounted. Time for some ibuprofen.

Stopping Power

What a beautiful day today, we almost hit 80 deg. I took advantage of the afternoon and got the suspension on the driver's side. Ashley then crawled under the car and helped me put the sway bar on. Then since we were on a roll, I decided to see how well the disc brake swap kit was going to fit. Well, the kit fit so nice, that I went ahead and got the front brackets, rotors and calipers all mounted. Now that is being productive.

Reassembly

What a nice day out today. Ashley got the driver's side all coated with the KBS Rustseal.  I got all the grease fittings in the new suspension and got the passenger side all put together and back on the car. It is so great to see parts going back on finally.

More welding

Well, I finished the he welding in the driver side shock tower and aprons today. It is ready to be painted but will need to wait until tomorrow as it is only 40 degrees out today.

Metal work

It was warm out this afternoon so we worked on the Mustang some. Ashley got the spindles cleaned and painted with the KBS Rustseal and then got a small sheet metal patch for the torque box side panel made. I meanwhile got a patch made for the driver's side shock tower and got the rust cut away and everything prepared for welding. My hands then gave up on me so I will have to finish this weekend.

Warm out today. I finished the repair and welding to the passenger side shock tower. I then coated everything with KBS Rustseal.  I then got the sway bar cleaned up and coated as well. Ready for suspension now on this side.

UCA drop

Measured out and drilled the holes for the Shelby upper control arm drop this afternoon. I also managed to get the welder out and cleaned up, then did a little clean up welding on the inner fenders.
